Jo\u00e3o Valadas Coriel founded the law firm in 2001. Besides being the managing partner he leads and coordinates across all VCA Departments. His recognised expertise is sought to unlock deadlocks, close deals, to propose cross-cutting solutions at various areas of law and to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.<\/p>\n

He participates frequently as a speaker at workshops, seminars and conferences in his practice areas.<\/p>\n

Practice Areas<\/h3>\n

Commercial, civil, administrative, tax, economic and maritime litigation; maritime law; insolvency, bankruptcy, acquisition and management of credits.<\/p>\n

Education<\/h3>\n

Degree in Law (Faculty of Law, Universidade Cl\u00e1ssica de Lisboa, 1992). Curriculum Part of the Master\u2019s course in Public Health (Faculty of Medicine, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, 1998). International Trade and Shipping Law Course (London Guildhall University \/ Lloyds, 1999). Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Tax Law (Instituto Superior de Economia e Gest\u00e3o, 2007). Law Management Program (IE, Madrid \/ London, 2012).<\/p>\n
